By Jordan Eagles, working in a very unusual medium; blood. By combining blood from slaughterhouses and resin he captures the beautiful natural colour and preserves it. Some pieces even have an electrical current charged through them to make the burnt, blistering effect.
a book fountain in Budapest
this is one of the coolest fountains I’ve ever seen
#You and I remember Budapest very differently. #That’s because you were too fascinated by the book fountain to notice anything else. #TASHA. IT WAS A FOUNTAIN THAT LOOKED LIKE A /BOOK./ #I know I was there— #BUT DO YOU REALLY KNOW?
This is one of my favorite photos in the whole, wide earth. Possibly my proudest moment concerning the series of events it took to get this shot.

In her works, Mika Aoki attempts to make viewers look differently at subjects such as viruses, reproduction and the origins of life. In these works made out of glass, Aoki imitates the micro-kingdoms we glaze over every day. For more information on Aoki’s work, click here.
Comics Alliance made this Avengers poster featuring all the characters in their worst costumes in history. Following the success of the movie it’s easy to picture the team in their movieverse attire - especially since it’s inspired by the most recognizable components of their comic book costumes. Not every outfit donned by Earth’s Mightiest heroes fits into that design equation, however… in fact, some of their costumes from over the decades might be outright unrecognizable to casual moviegoers. This piece of art features the Hulk’s Mr. Fixit look, Hawkeye’s circus duds, Iron Man’s skirt-enriched oldschool armor, Captain America and Thor’s overtly ’90s costumes, Black Widow’s flashy caped costume and, well… David Hasselhoff as Nick Fury.
